OpenStack has nice features like filters to handle basic constraints, but placement decisions are mostly static. As clusters size is increasing, we think OS admins and devops need automation to improve VM placement.

This talk will cover how we take advantage of "complex event processing" and "machine learning" algorithms/metaheuristics to improve physical resources usage through better virtual machines placement.
